Networking

In different communities, there are people who are dedicated to making positive changes. They do this on their own or as part of a group. Our goal is to connect and support these leaders through prayer, training, and resources.

This program promotes a sense of belonging and empowerment, allowing individuals and groups to take an active role in making a positive difference in their community. It inspires individuals to come together, share their strengths, challenges and opportunities. This serves as our prayer and encouragement network.

It’s from this network that we obtain ongoing training priorities and needed resources.

Our literature program ensures our network members have access to foundational resources and are utilising them. These resources add significant value on knowledge, leadership and excellence.

Questions raised from our literature activities inform us on what resource interventions are needed for the next season; what resources can be revised and which ones can’t, procured or developed.

Leadership Development

By empowering local leaders, we seek to make a lasting impact on the lives of communities they lead. Holistic development of leaders refers to a comprehensive approach that focuses on nurturing and equipping individuals with a wide range of essential skills, knowledge, and qualities necessary for effective leadership. It recognizes the importance of addressing various aspects of their development, including personal, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical dimensions.

In this context, leaders are encouraged to cultivate self-awareness, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. They are also supported in developing effective communication and interpersonal skills, along with resilience, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Holistic development of leaders goes beyond just imparting theoretical knowledge. It emphasizes experiential learning, providing them with opportunities to participate in diverse activities such as community service, cultural exchanges, team-building exercises, and local leadership training programs. These experiences help shape their character, foster their sense of social responsibility, and provide them with practical skills that can be applied in various contexts.

Our annual conference provides an opportunity for our network members and leaders to interact with their counterparts from other regions, and with our international community attending the conference. The connect conference is one event every leader may not want to miss, a place for powerful encouragement and empowerment.

We are currently physically active in Uganda, and we reach all other countries in our scope via online media. The annual connect conference is an opportunity for leaders participating in our programs across the Great Lakes region to connect physically.
