Hope Community Action Africa: May 2025 Mission Update!
May was a month filled with encouraging connections and significant progress for Hope Community Action Africa! Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:
Strengthening Partnerships in California!
Our Team Leader, Emmanuel Manishimwe, had an incredible visit to Voyagers Bible Church in California from May 10-19, 2025. He experienced exceptional hospitality, staying with the Peck and Prochnow families and reconnecting with many ministry supporters and friends.
Emmanuel participated in a retreat in Big Bear City, which included an immersive tour, a scenic mountain hike, and a visit to Big Bear Lake. He also had the privilege of presenting a mission update to Voyagers Bible Church, joining a “Nehemiah Tour” in Irvine, visiting a college ministry, and leading a devotional at the men’s retreat.
“Every single day of my visit was filled with encouragement, learning, and meaningful connections,” Emmanuel shared. We are so grateful for the warmth and generosity shown by everyone!
Making a Difference in Uganda!
Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement – Children’s Ministry
In Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement, our Children’s Ministry, led by Emmanuelle Tumaini, focused on child welfare and spiritual growth. Outreach efforts strengthened church engagement and support for orphans and vulnerable children. Emmanuelle visited several churches, including Bethesda Power of God Church and Philadelphia Church, and schools like Kyempango Primary School and Mikole Primary School, to raise awareness and advocacy for intentional children’s ministry interventions.
Kisoro OVC Intervention Project
In Kisoro District, our commitment to holistic child development continued through the OVC Intervention Project, currently supporting 50 children. We are excited to announce plans to expand livelihood programs to 120 caregiver women, and school fee payments for the second term have already begun!
Looking Forward
The efforts in May have truly strengthened vital partnerships, fostered meaningful connections, and reinforced our commitment to supporting vulnerable children and caregivers. Through collaboration, outreach, and dedicated service, Hope Community Action Africa continues to create a lasting impact. We are excited to sustain these initiatives and expand our reach to bring continued progress and transformation to the communities we serve.
