The recent field visits by our team has revealed 13 families with orphans and vulnerable children have no access to food. These children are currently on holiday for three weeks till September 5th 2022. When they return to school they will access lunch provided under our education program but the food crisis remains an issue that needs to be urgently addressed to enable them have food at home as well.
This is the 8th month of Kisoro OVC Intervention Project. We are continually thankful to God that not only have we found this an opportunity to bring hope into the lives of the most vulnerable in Kisoro, we are also getting encouraged by their enriching transformational stories. This is what happens when we respond to God’s call.
In the meantime our hands are ready to receive food donations for these people as an emergency. We hope they will soon be able to provide for themselves and their children, enabled by income generating activities program as a long-term solution to hunger and extreme poverty.
