Having successfully completed a needs survey and legal operational processes, we started work with 20 Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in Kisoro district, South-western Uganda, in January 2022. Our current support is focused on children born with HIV/AIDS and are going through hardship after their parents died. Our interventions have enabled these children to go to school with other children. Our support involves school fees, lunch contribution at school, uniform, and scholastic materials. Our target is to increase the number of supported children to 100 in three years.
These children are in urgent need of food interventions. Our monthly meetings are designed to address psychosocial needs for these children as well as frequent follow up and continuous seminars to develop the capacity of their guardians.
