HCA remains committed to working with the coalition to step up intentional outreaches to the street children in Kampala. There’s hope that we can help many get restored.
Critical Need for Capacity Building
Hope Community Action Africa has just completed a sports ministry conference for leaders of children and youth in Lubaga division, Kampala. Over 70 young people participated in a sports outreach of Sunday 8th 2019.
Throughout the entire planning, implementation and evaluation process we’ve observed a critical need for capacity building for young leaders.
The next sports ministry conference will take place in January 2021, Makindye Division, Kampala. In the mean time the HCA team will maintain a dynamic capacity building program for Rubaga Division including:
- Providing access to sports equipment, for organized, self motivated groups.
- Providing advanced practical skills to young people through focused sports camps.
Thanks to all the leaders and youth who turned up for the conference, Mr. Godwin Muhwezi who coordinated the event, the facilitators: Mr. Michael Mugabi and Mr. Sam Kibedi, Mr. Leif and Mrs. April Jacobsen for donating the sports equipment and Pastor Raphael Kajjubi, the Senior Pastor King Jesus Church, for hosting the event.
