I have never seen a political leader who leads with passion like Hon. Sarah Mateke, the Woman member of Parliament Kisoro district. Hon. Sarah is the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Republic of Uganda.
On May 6th 2023, Saturday, Hon. Sarah led a local community to respond to the critical need of one vulnerable family in Muramba Sub-country, Kisoro district.
The family was first identified by the Assistant District Health Officer in charge of Maternal Health, Ms. Annet Dusabe. When the matter reached Hon. Sarah she couldn’t wait, she responded with such an amazing speed. Indeed that’s the kind of leadership heart that encourages. Hon. Sarah has also donated iron sheets, and the local community participated in building a new house for the child and grandmother.
Ahead of Hon. Sarah’s visit, Save the Children had also delivered supplies to the family.
May we give thanks for the leaders and communities God is inspiring to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. Thank you so much, Hon. Sarah, Save the Children, Kisoro District Health Office and all who are responding the essential needs of vulnerable children. May the Lord keep you safe and focused.
