HCA maintains a prayer breakfast event in Kampala and seeks to influence the same culture wherever we work as appropriate. We hope this motivate the Church to maintain fervent pray for peace in the great lakes region.
Hope Community Action (HCA) Africa envisions a vibrant community of Godly leaders demonstrating Christ’s revolutionary love in their Churches and communities across the Great Lakes Region of Africa, leading training and provision of resources that will spur hope in the lives of young people. It’s in pursuit of this vision that HCA maintains a prayer breakfast event in Kampala and seeks to influence the same culture wherever we work.
The Great Lakes region is marred with conflict ranging from tribal clashes to wider armed struggles, some seemingly endless. In relatively calm areas there remains other problems such as domestic violence, tribal differences and interdenominational stand-off. These problems affect young people tremendously. We want to restore hope for young people in the region by encouraging the Church to pray for peace in the great lakes region. We hope that by a synergistic research and communication program we can support the Church in the region with valuable information to motivate them to continue in prayer and working together locally to find solutions to problems children and young people face in their communities, using available resources.
