HCA Completes a Coalition Outreach to over 100 Street Children in Kampala

HCA Africa has just completed a coalition outreach to over 100 street children in Kampala. HCA supported the Sports and Games section by providing sports equipment and a support team of 6 leaders.

It was a great moment to work with several agencies to run the event, whose purpose was mainly to rescue those who would be willing to leave the street. The coalition was led by Dwelling Places. Other agencies that participated included Mengo Youth Development Link (MYDEL), Rescue Foundation, Kawempe Youth Development Association and Youth Sports Uganda. Our team was blessed with the active participation of impressive coaches and other sports leaders from MYDEL and Youth Sport Uganda. We thank God for the good coalition coordination by Dwelling Places and the background networking support of Children at Risk Network (CRANE).

HCA team comprised of Mr. Wilber Khatete, Mr. Sam Wamukota, Miss. Promise Kukunda, Ms. Doreen Komugisha, Miss. Jenniffer Ninsiima and Mr. Emmanuel Manishimwe.

We noticed a great need with the street children. HCA remains committed to working with the coalition to step up intentional outreaches to the street children in Kampala. There’s hope that we can help many get restored.
